Another example: a completed job reaches billing
Before
The crew finishes. A message reaches operations. Somebody checks the job record, finds the changes, asks for approval and reminds accounting to invoice.
After
Completion updates the job state. Required sign-off and chargeable changes are checked. A billing queue exposes ready work; missing information goes to an owner. Reconciliation reveals completed jobs still waiting for an invoice.
Accounting remains authoritative for the invoice. People retain approval over consequential changes.

Today
You read the message, search for earlier correspondence, check the customer record and work out which commitments apply. The decision waits while the context is assembled.
Redesigned
The request is interpreted and connected to relevant records. A draft or recommendation arrives with sources and missing details flagged. A person approves the consequential judgment; the system records what happened.
