This is my most important set that I’ve made.
🌌 “The Gallery” – A Synthographic Vision 🎨
At 18, on the cusp of adulthood, I had a profound dream the night before leaving my parents’ house. This dream wasn’t a chaotic blend of images or a flurry of scenes. It was a singular, vivid experience that has stayed with me for years.
🖼️ The Vision: A Singular Piece of Art 🌟
In the dream, my focus was drawn to a single piece of art, a painting that seemed to exist in a realm of its own. Accompanying this visual was a woman’s voice, enigmatic yet clear. She conveyed a message that the art was immutable, bound by time and space, an independent entity.
🔗 Acceptance and Transformation 🌀
As I accepted the idea of the painting’s autonomy, a transformation occurred. The painting, initially perceived as a standalone piece, revealed itself as part of a larger masterpiece. Each artwork, though individual in expression, existed meaningfully within the context of this grand tapestry.
🎇 The Movement of Colors 🌈
With this realization, the colors began to move. They flowed between the different pieces of art within the gallery, creating a dynamic interplay of hues and shades. It was as if the gallery itself was alive, a space where individuality and unity coexisted in harmony.
👁️ The Recurring Theme: The Gallery 👫
Throughout the years, I’ve attempted to capture this dream through my synthographs. The gallery has always been the central theme, sometimes featuring a single person, other times a couple. But it’s always about the gallery, occasionally the first piece of art.
🌠 A Desire to Relive 💭
Now, at 36, I wish to experience that dream again. It’s not just about recreating the images but about capturing the essence, the feeling of awe and revelation that came with it.
🖌️ “The Gallery” – My Artistic Pursuit 🕰️
Each synthograph I create is a step closer to that dream, a piece of the puzzle in my ongoing pursuit to bring “The Gallery” to life. It’s a journey of exploration, of understanding the intricate dance between time, space, and art.
🧩 Synthography: The Medium of Dreams 🎭
This dream, in many ways, exemplifies what synthography represents. It’s the transformation of a prompt, a thought, or a dream into a visual narrative. Synthography, as a medium, allows for the creation of art that transcends the boundaries of traditional forms, much like the dream transcended the confines of a single piece of art. It’s about capturing the fluidity of imagination, the interplay of elements, and the creation of a world where each piece tells a story within a larger narrative.
